Our approach to offering care is deeply personal: together we design a tailored plan and fee structure so that your experience feels meaningful and affordable.

Threshold Counseling

THRESHOLD /thrĕsh′ōld″, -hōld″/ noun:

The place or point of a beginning; the outset.

Endings and beginnings are woven into the fabric of life; they can be achingly beautiful and devastatingly challenging in the same breath. At these thresholds, emotions intensify and we often feel overwhelmed and alone. Through compassionate presence and personalized support, we honor your unique journey and help you rediscover the strength and wisdom that live within.

Threshold Counseling is a fit for you if:

  • You’ve lost someone you love, or you are anticipating an upcoming loss, and you seek support in processing grief and other complex emotions.

  • You are part of the “Sandwich Generation”—a grownup who is stretched between raising children and caring for aging parents who need your help and support too.

  • You are navigating a new life-changing diagnosis, grieving your former life, and feeling open to exploring what lies ahead.

  • You run a nonprofit or business and want to support your staff in grieving and processing the loss, or anticipated loss, of a fellow colleague.

  • You are a parent caring for a child (in the hospital or at home) suffering from serious illness, mental health challenges, or a traumatic accident.

End-of-life Care

DYING /dī′ĭng/ adjective:

Approaching death; gradually ceasing to be.

Death is part of being alive, and dying is a life experience like none other. Moving through this threshold is not easy, but it’s possible to greet it with openness and acceptance. Together we will help you identify what matters most to you during this stage of life. Our overall goal is to support you in feeling loved, held, calm, present, and as pain-free as possible.

End-of-life Care is a fit for you if:

  • You are seeking loving support from an experienced end-of-life care provider while dying in your home, a hospital, or assisted living residence.

  • You value autonomy and agency, which may include Medical Aid in Dying [MAID], Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking [VSED], plant medicine/therapeutic psychedelic support, or dying as natural a death as possible.

  • You want important aspects of your identity—gender, sexuality, race, culture, spirituality, religion—to be represented, attuned to, and cared for during the dying process.

  • You are brave (even when you’re afraid) and willing to say yes to a high-quality life until the moment of your death.

Celebrations of Life

CELEBRATE /sĕl′ə-brāt″/ verb:

To observe with ceremonies of respect, festivity, or rejoicing.

Connecting with others is fundamental to being human. Celebrating and sharing stories about our life experiences together can support us in cherishing and grieving a loved one we’ve lost. Together we help you design and facilitate a special ceremony, memorial service, or other gathering that reflects the beauty of the adult or child you’re honoring.

Celebration of Life support is a fit for you if:

  • You’ve lost someone you love (of any age), or you are anticipating an upcoming loss, and you seek support in planning and/or facilitating a deeply meaningful celebration of life gathering.

  • You are planning ahead for your own death and would like help designing a ceremony or gathering that reflects and honors your personal life experience and wishes.

  • You run a nonprofit or business and seek support in planning and/or facilitating a staff gathering that honors the loss of a fellow colleague.

Planning & Advocacy

ADVOCACY /ˈæd.vəˌkə.si/ noun:

The practice of supporting someone to make their voice heard.

Planning for the future is part of being alive, and it often requires us to look closely at the present reality. No matter your physical location, our team can help you decipher confusing information and make decisions that align with your values, beliefs, needs, wishes, and dreams. We help you quiet the noise, listen to your inner wisdom, and plan a future that feels true to you.

Planning & Advocacy is a fit for you if:

  • You’re navigating complex systems and making big decisions related to a serious illness, diagnosis, and/or prognosis in any care environment.

  • You want to explore integrating Medical Aid in Dying [MAID], Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking [VSED], or therapeutic psychedelic support into your own care plan.

  • You need an advocate to help ensure important aspects of your identity—gender, sexuality, race, culture, spirituality, religion—are honored by caregivers, medical providers, family, and friends.

  • You are brave and capable, and also human. You know you’ll feel less scared and less alone with a loving, experienced friend/advocate walking alongside you.

Child & Family Wraparound Support

HOPE /hōp/ noun:

The wish or desire for something and the belief in the possibility of its occurrence.

When a child or young adult is facing serious illness, families are forced to navigate an unimaginable journey filled with medical complexities, impossible decisions, and frequently changing providers and care environments. Whether your child is at home or in the hospital, or moving back and forth, we provide consistent, compassionate support and advocacy you can count on.

Pediatric Wraparound Support is a fit for you if:

  • Your child is facing a serious illness and you need help making sense of complex medical information and decisions while keeping comfort and quality of life at the center.

  • You need a consistent support person to walk alongside you during hospital stays, family meetings, treatments, and/or home care to offer calm presence, advocacy, and emotional support when things feel overwhelming.

  • You want to keep hope alive, even if your child is transitioning to comfort care, by honoring their wishes, and creating meaningful moments and memories together.

  • You are part of a care team (nurse, doctor, teacher, friend) supporting a child and family, and you need guidance on how to show up with genuine love and presence.
